In tandem with Gok Wan’s show How to Look Good Naked… With a Difference, Nikki Fox and Natasha Wood convinced Debenhams to feature wheelchair user Shannon Murray in its new campaign for Ben de Lisi’s Principles range.

Shannon commented, “I think this is a fabulous step forward by Debenhams and I’m proud to be part of such a big move towards positive representation of disability in high street fashion.

Gok Wan asserted Debenhams is pushing the boundaries by producing the first ever disabled fashion campaign in conjunction with How to Look Good Naked and I hope that one day disabilities will be recognised by every chain in the high street.”

Shannon added, “I hope the images challenge a few misconceptions about disability; it’s been a long time coming.” And I couldn’t agree more. So keep your eye’s peeled world, it’s time to sit up and take notice!
