Pianist with no arms wins China’s Got Talent

China’s Got Talent audiences were wowed at Sunday’s final by armless pianist Liu Wei who was crowned winner after playing James Blunt‘s ‘You’re Beautiful’ with his feet.

23-year-old Liu had his arms amputated at the age of 10 after an electric shock, but has continued to pursue his passion for music. It is a truly inspiring achievement; I mean not many people can even play the piano to an expert level, let alone with their feet!

Take a look at his performance on YouTube.

Certainly does. I wish I could play the piano at all, let alone with my toes.

Thank you crazychick84 for you comment. Liu truly is an inspiration, but I also believe it is within everyone to cope with adversity and inspire others. No matter what life throws at you, it’s how you deal with it and come through the other side that counts. We should all take Liu’s determaination as a positive reminder of how resilient and incredible the human spirit is.
